Xi Jinping has become the president of China for the third time. At the Communist Party convention, he was again elected as the party’s general secretary. Xi Jinping, who has been in power for a decade, has created history by coming to power for the third time, breaking the record that has been going on for decades. He is now equal to Mao Zedong. After the death of Mao Zedong, the founder of the Chinese Communist Party, no leader could come to power for a third time.
Xi Jinping has also announced his new standing committee after being elected as the party chairman. Xi Jinping’s team includes Li Qiang, Shao Leji, Wang Huning, Kai Ke Ding Shexiang and Li Xi, of which Li Qiang has been made the new prime minister. He has taken the place of Li Keqiang.
After being elected as the leader of the party, Xi Jinping said in his speech, “Thank you all for believing in me.” He said that the country has achieved many achievements so far and now it will move towards making China a modern socialist country in every way.
