The death toll in the jeep accident in Bajhang on Wednesday has reached 7. According to police, 7 people died on the spot when a jeep crashed near Tufandanda, Mashta Rural Municipality 1. 6 people were injured in the same accident.
On Wednesday at 4:30 am, the jeep of Su.P.Pr.001 Ch 117 numbered on its way to Bhatekhola from Dugri, Mashta rural municipality, had an accident. The jeep crashed and fell almost 300 meters below the road.
District Police Office Bajhang DSP Jageshwar Bhandari informed that 4 people who died in the accident have been identified. He said that the search for the other passengers in the jeep is continuing. Among the deceased who have been identified, they are Yaman Khadka, aged 13, Roshan Khadka, aged 15, Prachanda Khadka, aged 16, and Basanti Dhami, aged 28, of Mashta 2. The remaining 3 people have not been identified.
To rescue the injured in the accident, Nepal Police, Armed Police and Army have deployed to the local scene.
